New Roads Education Fund is a donor-advised scholarship fund within the Marin Community Foundation, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization.
We chose to partner with MCF to help us establish and administer the New Roads Education Fund, because, as one of the largest community foundations in the country, they provide the expertise and the resources to enhance and expand our own modest efforts. The Foundation manages more than $1.6 billion in total assets and distributes more than $60 million annually in grants on behalf of individuals, families and businesses, nationally and internationally, with professional administrative efficiency and security.
Applicants for New Roads Education Fund Scholarships need not reside in or have any association with Marin county to receive an award from The Fund.
New Roads Education Fund receives scholarship support services from 10,000 Degrees, including application review, applicant screening and technical assistance.
10,000 Degrees is the Bay Area’s premier non-profit scholarship administrator offering a comprehensive pipeline of programs and resources to help student access, enroll and successfully complete college.
Network for Good, the leading online platform for handling contributions to non-profits, charities and donor-advised funds, uses the Internet and mobile technology to securely and efficiently distribute thousands of gifts from donors to their chosen charities each year.
Network for Good is accredited by the Better Business Bureau Wise Giving Alliance and meets all 20 of its standards for charity accountability.
The 3% transaction fee for credit card contributions is the lowest in the industry. A New Roads Education Fund benefactor will match the transaction fee, so that 100% of every New Roads donor contribution goes directly to student support.
